I’m a Breakthrough Coach and Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Western Washington. 

I am a Breakthrough Coach. I bring more than 20 years of knowledge and experience in areas such as psychology, mind-body techniques, mindfulness, teaching, mentoring, and energy psychology. I synthesize contemporary psychology and ancient healing modalities to empower my clients in creating an exquisite life.

Background

I knew at an early age that I was meant to be a catalyst for helping people heal. I’ve experienced many wounds and challenges. In many ways, I feel like it’s been a struggle being in this human life. I’ve been consciously searching for meaning and healing since I was at least 7 years old. All of my life experience informs my sense of purpose for my life and work.

My personal healing journey was sparked by what I came to understand were mystical experiences. I knew that there was purpose for my life and in all that I was living even though much of it was painful.

Music was an important healing power that led me to complete a bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education. After graduation, life offered me a unique opportunity to enlist in the U. S. Navy music program. I spent 11 years as a trumpet player stationed in Chicago, Naples (Italy), and Seattle. In addition to performing, I supervised personnel in music and administrative duties and taught at several school music camps. I performed in over 2000 events in the U.S. and across Europe that included both U.S. and foreign heads of state and other dignitaries.

Yearning to dive more deeply into my own personal work and facilitate others on their journeys, I left the Navy in 1998 and pursued master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology. I became licensed as a psychologist in 2006.

I also have extensive training and experience with mindfulness meditation and various energy healing techniques. I hold a Reiki Master Teacher attunement and completed a 2-year mentoring program with Marie Manuchehri, RN. I’ve also studied Energy Psychology which is at the leading edge of modern psychology.

Professional Experience

My professional experience includes diverse work environments such as at a women’s prison; community mental health in Washington, Missouri and Arkansas; a university student counseling center; and app-based holistic mental health, telehealth, and private practice in Arkansas and Washington.

I’ve taught as adjunct faculty at City University and Forest Institute of Professional Psychology at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. I’ve also presented at the Washington State Psychological Association and American Psychological Association conferences.

Finally, I host interactive Breakthrough workshops and training retreats in psychology, holistic wellness, spiritual development, and personal growth and effectiveness. I facilitated workshops through Everett Community College, Cascadia Community College, East-West Bookshop-Seattle, Women of Wisdom Conference, and in my local community.
