Spring weather in the Pacific Northwest can be crazy and unpredictable. The other day the weather alternated between sunny, rain, downpour rain, and hail. Over and over throughout the day the weather changed radically.
If your emotions were attached to what was going on around you, you would have been on a roller coaster that day. It’s easy to realize that in relationship to weather changes but humans tend to attach their sense of well-being & happiness to other people & what is happening around them.
If you can take a mindful step back, you will discover that your happiness & well-being rely only on what is happening within your mind. In other words, your state of being relies on your perspective on what is happening. Easier said than done. Happiness becomes a life-long practice.
This point of realization is the portal to freedom.
